This Empire Magazine poster is informing the reader about the harry potter film. Based on the film having a good fan base from the previous films of harry potter. People are going to be aware of how good they are purely because of there previous success.

The main character his holding a wand which is suggesting the magic involved in the film. Having the wand and the smash glass surrounding it could be of contrast and suggest to the audience that this time in the film that their magic could end up resulting in bad decisions/consequence.
The text used is the colour white, which is the colour of purity and innocence which also contrasts with the imagery used. The use of the white text makes it stand out for the audience attracting them to the audience making them aware of the important information.
